CARBON FIBER WORKS BLACK ICE HEAT SHIELDS

Thermal Tuning Black Ice Airbox/Shock Shields
    • Rear header pipe temperatures can exceed 500 degrees, which that heat is being transferred right into your airbox and shock canister
    • Independent shop tests concluded that internal airbox temperatures were 20% cooler with Black Ice installed. External shock canister temperatures were also 17% cooler. That equates to approximately an 8% increase in air density entering your carburetor
    • Cooler airbox temperatures and greater air density equate to more horsepower. Cooler shock canister temps equate to less shock fade
Thermal Tuning Black Ice Carburetor Shields
    • Front header pipe temperatures can reach unbelievably high temperatures while your carburetor is sitting very close to your header and it sits behind the head of your engine, pleading for cool air
    • These carburetor heat shields mount to your engine mounts or engine head to form a barrier between your header and your carburetor, which equates to cooler fuel thus providing more horsepower
    • Testing at the end of the first 250cc Moto at Southwick/2004 was proof of the effect our Black Ice/HS has on engine components. Team Subway’s carburetors were 204 degrees F cooler with our Black Ice HS installed. (324 degrees F without, 120 degrees F with)
